The Learning Lab position became available, so Mrs. Geis decided to stay at Indian Hills and has been here for 12 years. Both of her sons graduated from Valley High School and The University of Iowa. Her oldest son is employed in Des Moines and her youngest son is attending graduate school at the U of I College of Pharmacy. Her favorite quote is "Intelligence is not what you know, or know how to do, but what you do when you don't know." John Holt
Learning Lab... The place for those that may feel lost, but have a desire to be found. Learning Lab with Mrs. Geis is a structured class where students work on academics, set goals, and work on behaviors that get in their way of being successful. This involves a committment to be at school everyday, filling in the planner weekly, and completing homework assignments. The classes are small to allow one-on-one interaction and classroom support between teacher and student. The goal of Learning Lab is for students to experience success at Indian Hills and build a foundation for future academic success. Mrs. Geis may be contacted at: [email protected]
